Who we are

9517-2417 Québec Inc., doing business as Québec Inc. ("Québec Inc.", "we", "our", or "us"), is the entity responsible for the personal information collected through this website and in the course of our business. We are based at 719 rue Egan, Montréal, QC H4H 1W6, Canada.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the rights you have. It is written to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Québec, "Law 25"), and where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR.

Information we collect

We collect personal information in the following ways:

  • ·Information you provide directly — for example, when you complete a contact form, send us an email, sign an engagement letter, or speak with us by phone (name, email, phone number, company, role, message content, billing details).
  • ·Information collected automatically — when you visit our website (IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps).
  • ·Information from service providers — for example, our payment processor (Stripe) provides transaction confirmation and limited cardholder details; analytics providers report aggregate site usage.
  • ·Information from clients during engagements — under our written agreements, you may provide us with access to your accounts, customer data, or other information necessary to deliver the services.
03

Why we collect it

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • ·To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you
  • ·To deliver our services under engagement agreements
  • ·To bill, collect payment, and maintain accounting records as required by law
  • ·To operate, secure, and improve our website
  • ·To send occasional service-related communications and, where you have opted in, marketing emails
  • ·To comply with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
  • ·To establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

04

Legal basis (where required)

Where the GDPR or equivalent foreign law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • ·Performance of a contract — to provide services and respond to pre-contractual requests
  • ·Legitimate interests — to operate and secure our website, manage our business, and conduct B2B outreach in a balanced manner
  • ·Legal obligation — to retain accounting records and respond to lawful requests
  • ·Consent — for marketing emails and any non-essential cookies, where required
05

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential operation and, where you consent, for analytics. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking site functionality. Analytics cookies, where used, help us understand aggregate site usage and improve performance.

You can control cookies through your browser settings or by using our cookie banner where displayed. Where applicable laws require prior consent for non-essential cookies, we will not place such cookies until you have consented.

06

Sharing and service providers

We share personal information only where necessary, and only with parties bound to protect it. Categories of recipients include:

  • ·Payment processing — Stripe, Inc. (and its affiliates) for the secure processing of card and bank payments
  • ·Email and productivity — providers of email, calendar, document storage, and CRM platforms used to operate our business
  • ·Hosting and infrastructure — Vercel, our website hosting provider; cloud providers used by us or our subprocessors
  • ·Professional advisors — accountants, auditors, and lawyers, bound by professional confidentiality
  • ·Authorities — government agencies, courts, or law enforcement where required by law or to protect rights

We require service providers to implement appropriate security and confidentiality measures and to use personal information only for the purposes for which we engaged them.

07

International transfers

Some of our service providers, including our payment processor and hosting provider, are headquartered in the United States or operate global infrastructure. When we transfer personal information outside Canada, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection — including by using contractual safeguards and selecting providers with established privacy programs.

08

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. In general:

  • ·Inquiry and prospect contact data — up to 24 months after the last interaction
  • ·Engagement and accounting records — at least seven (7) years, in accordance with Canadian tax law
  • ·Website analytics — up to 26 months in aggregated form
  • ·Billing records held by our payment processor — per the processor's own retention policies

When personal information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

09

Security

We use reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, vendor due diligence, and a documented incident-response process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to acting promptly in the event of a breach as required by law.

10

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • ·Access the personal information we hold about you
  • ·Request correction of inaccurate information
  • ·Request deletion (right to erasure / oubli numérique under Law 25)
  • ·Request portability of information you have provided to us
